Isn’t it time for any family-friendly weekend of excitement and fun around the Flint River?

Join the Georgia Conservancy and REI in the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scout Camp on September ninth – tenth to have an adventure weekend which includes outside entertainment, bluegrass and great food!

The Flint River Family Adventure will start at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September ninth in the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scout Camp in Molena, GA and include activities for children and adults including archery, mountain climbing, zip-line and hiking throughout the mid-day.

Most of the activities are “self-guided” and visitors will be presented a house map and directions regarding how to reach each activity – or lead your personal hike!

The enjoyment continues having a barbecue dinner, bluegrass concert, guest loudspeakers, fire-n-s’mores, an evening hike along with a go camping.

Sunday morning’s 3 mile family-friendly paddle around the Flint will launch at 10:00 a.m. and you should be from the river by 1:00pm.
