April 30: Explore six private gardens in Pasadena, available to the general public for self-led tours to profit your garden Conservancy. Maps and discounted tickets is going to be offered at the La Casita del Arroyo Garden, 177 South Arroyo Boulevard, Pasadena from 9:30 a.m. to three:30 p.m. gardens are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $7 per garden (children under 12 free), no reservations needed, rain or shine. May 5: The Laguna Beach Garden Club hosts a self-led walking tour of non-public gardens on and around Brooks Street within the city’s Village neighborhood. The tour includes free refreshments, exhibits, a keepsake sales brochure, passenger bus service, a plant purchase along with a raffle of prizes donated by local artists and companies. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $45 to $50. lagunabeachgardenclub.org
May 6: The self-led Leimert Park Garden Tour will feature eleven private gardens. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $15, and kids under 13 free. Tickets can be bought your day from the event in the Garden Tour Hub, found at Community Build’s courtyard in Leimert Park Village, 4305 Degnan Blvd. A roadmap is going to be provided in the Hub, that will offer food, live music, and a number of vendors and exhibitors. leimertparkgardentour.com

Annie Gaddis: FYI (for your followers): Found Dragon's Egg Cucumbers at Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. It's number is CU147. They also have the long or round Black Radishes, and the giant White Radish (they call it Japanese Minowase Daikon Radish). The number for the bush style Purple Teepee is BN162, and the Watermelon Radish (they call it Chinese Red Meat Radish) is RD114. The bush style Dixie Speckled Lima Butterpea is LB103, and bush style Red Swan Bean is BN181. The Celebrity Tomato you can get at Burpee and is an All-American Selections winner; they also have the Walla Walla Onions. Baker Creek also has the Napa Cabbage #OR140, and Ozark Giant Peppers are #PP154. Kitazawa Seed has the Korean Chameh Melon (they call it Ginkaku) #377. Baker Creek's Black Beauty Tomato is TX125.
