Saved Reptile Sanctuary
The Issue
In Michigan, and around the globe there’s a large trouble with abandoned and mistreated reptiles. There are millions of mistreated and undesirable reptiles just in Michigan alone. Many people with higher intentions buy reptiles from pet stores without researching or fully comprehending the care and commitment that’s involved with getting a chilly blooded pet. Reptiles take considerable time and equipment to help keep happy and healthy and lots of proprietors become overwhelmed.
An Answer
Our goal at Backwoods Trails Zoo would be to develop a reptile sanctuary which will house a large number of undesirable, mistreated reptiles to allow them to live the remainder of their lives being loved and well looked after. Similar to the name implies, once the project is completed, it will likely be a sanctuary (housing structure and outdoors cages) for reptiles which have either been mistreated, hurt, or possibly their proprietors can’t supply the care or attention they need and are prepared to donate their reptile towards the zoo. In ways, the zoo is going to be "rescuing" these reptiles and providing them a much better existence. The exhibit is really a labor of affection. It’s being built entirely through the Niezguck Group of volunteers and funded by donations.
